Penko FLEX™ range of instruments

Designed from the ground up using the latest touch-screen and digital interface technologies, FLEX combines a standard core hardware format with extensive modularity to provide all the combinations of interface and connectivity required for a wide range of weighing and dosing applications.

Wide range of options
The advanced design of the FLEX software provides the opportunity to create a wide range of instrumentation using the common hardware core with programmed ‘personalities’ to provide dedicated controllers for specific tasks.

The six initial FLEX personalities to be launched are the weighing indicator (FLEX Weighing Indicator plus), the check weigher (FLEX CK), the belt weigher (FLEX BW), the loss-in-weight controller (FLEX LIW), a weighing and force controller (FLEX) and a filling controller (FLEX FILL).

Integrated solution
Unlike other weighing and dosing control and measurement methods, FLEX provides a stand-alone integrated solution. The days of selecting a PLC, adding a display, i/o network boards, power supply, transducer conditioning and PC, connecting them all together and making them work are over.

FLEX combines all these elements of a system into a single compact unit with connections for RS232/RS485, Ethernet, USB communication and Profibus, plus load cell supplies with active sensing, right through to e-marking, label printing and PC output.

Advanced calibration
With the launch of the FLEX range, Penko has also announced its advanced patent-pending calibration system, G-Cal™.
