PENKO, an ETC company, has appointed Bart Gielen as the new sales manager. In this role, Gielen will coordinate all sales activities for PENKO and develop the industrial process automation business globally.
Gielen joins the PENKO team from Tooling Specialist Derksen, a Dutch-based supplier of precision mechanical parts and tools. Most recently, he served as a business manager, overseeing marketing and sales initiatives as well as production and outsourcing of complex fine-mechanic parts. He has worked in sales for nearly 25 years, and held a management role for 20. In addition to his professional experience, Gielen earned an MBA with Merit from the University of Bradford.
In the sales manager role, Gielen will work closely with sales team members, reps and dealers associated with PENKO’s market segments to increase sales. He will be based in the Netherlands, and travel frequently to meet with distributors and dealers outside of Benelux. Gielen will also coordinate trainings and identify market trends to continue growing the company.
“I look forward to working with PENKO and ETC to execute the mission to ‘have fun and make money,’” says Gielen. “I strongly believe that people do come first, a value that goes hand in hand with this company vision.”
“Bart has an extensive background in industrial engineering and significant international sales experience,” says Susanne Krause, general manager of PENKO. “As the sales manager, I am confident he will bring a clear commercial instinct and great leadership to his team.”
