Field Service Engineer

    PENKO is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our talented team in Ede.  Our Field Service Engineers provide technical support to customers, troubleshoot technical problems and provide end user training at new installations.

    Representative Responsibilities:
    • Provides technical and customer support from the office, at customer sites & installations
    • Provides off hours technical support via mobile phone
    • Engineer and design weighing systems and racks
    • Tests weighing systems and racks prior to shipment to customer
    • Commissions new installation of engineered systems
    • Writes programs for new installations
    • Oversees the installation process to its completion
    • Talks with customers about potential options and solutions if a product is not able to be fixed
    • Sends out new software to customers
    • Attends trade shows
    • Ensures projects & systems are received on schedule, work as intended & we achieve customer satisfaction
    • Provides training to field service technicians, sales department, external technicians & end users
    • Performs required government checks on weighing equipment
    • Provides input to R&D for modifications and new products
    • Works on custom projects for customers
    • Prepares and runs various reports
    • Updates customer information in database system when necessary
    • Cares for the company car and mass pieces
    • Create, organize, and store E-plan approval and submittal drawings
    • Produce and update drawings for new and existing products in line with Engineering change requests
    • Maintain drawings and their corresponding Bill of Materials (BOM)
    • Revise part & assembly drawings
    • Ensure proper and complete information is found on drawing
    • Ensure accurate information related to drawings is reflected in manufacturing system
    • Ensure hard copies are distributed to the appropriate personnel
    • Ensure soft copies and revisions are well archived, organized and managed

     

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, or equivalent experience in a related discipline
    • Previous experience with process weighing system procedures preferred
    • Certification to perform government checks on weighing equipment preferred
    • Prior drafting experience preferred
    • Computer skills: E-plan, Adobe, Correll Draw, MS Outlook, SAP
    • Customer service experience
    • Experience working with electricity
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and perform multiple tasks without general supervision.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Point-of-Contact (POC) software, Outlook, Correll Draw, SAP, product-specific software
    • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electronic test tools
    • Ability to travel extensively including working weekend and evening hours as required
    • Ability to speak English, Dutch and German
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license
    • Ability to work within a construction site
    • Ability to lift up to 23 kilos
